Workshop: Presentation Skills Staff Development
Workshop Code: HRSD PS
Effective Presentation Skills
Everyone makes presentations (formal or informal) in their normal work routines. These presentations can be targeted towards direct reports, peers and colleagues, supervisors and leaders, or to customers and vendors. Examples of these presentations include:
•sharing brief updates in a staff meeting
•promoting a new idea
•presenting a new or changed policy/procedure
•recommending a process improvement
In this session, participants will learn effective presentation skills techniques to prepare for a presentation, create an organized presentation, and deliver an impactful presentation. Participants will also gain tips for increasing confidence, controlling nervousness and connecting with the audience. A small class size allows participants the opportunity to practice presenting in a safe, non-competitive environment. Following the course, participants will receive a flash drive containing their individual video-taped presentations.
Completion of pre-work is required to attend this session.
Potential Job Enrichment credit available.
